(Above) Rolland Buslaff’s photo was taken in the early 1940s when he began renting the quarry horse barn as a home for his bride, Mary Duffek, and as headquarters for his metalworking business. Little did the couple know that in 12 years they would have a daughter named Joy and in 20 years own the school next door. Rolland effected a number of sturdy additions and changes to the building, which Joy and Dan have reversed or improved.
